Where Did the Inspiration Come From?
Looking at the mobile game market, you mostly find casual games — endless runners, match-3 puzzlers, tower defense. They are all great, but something was missing: depth.
For years I played PC grand strategy games like Europa Universalis and Crusader Kings. The depth they offered — economic decisions linking to diplomatic consequences, seasons affecting combat mechanics — always fascinated me.
The "Why Mobile?" Question
I started asking myself: *Can I bring this depth to a mobile device?*
The turn-based structure was perfect for mobile. Push notifications, the habit of playing a few turns a day — this is already the essence of mobile game design.
Xibalba Software Was Born
I set out as a solo studio. The Flutter + Flame development decision was also made here. Cross-platform capability, the speed Dart provides, and Flutter's rich widget library — these were the right choices for me.
Medieval Tides: Orya Wars is the result of that decision. I hope you enjoy being part of this journey.
